Do Colors Make Sounds? By Tyrone Woodward

Hey Baby! I thouht I'd drop you a line
In case you haven't noticed I've been gone for two months or more
I'm the woman you said you loved not just some drug store whore
So whatever your doing, just stop and turn your music down
I want you to know I'm writing from the maturnity ward
Where your son last night was born
Since I've got your attendtion have you noticed that I'm writing in crayon?
How some of the words are in blue and some of them brown?
I've got a question for you before you put this letter down
I just want to know

Do colors make sounds?

As I lay in this warm and well lit place
I can clearly see the dum look on your face
And it leads me to ask you with your head held down
If I throw red and yellow pant on a canvas
Would they just lie there then run to the ground?
Or would they be heard like my next words

Do colors make sounds?

In other words when orange and purple clash
Do they make sounds?
For instance does black make the sound of two cars crashing?
And is white the sound of a hourse in full stride?
And will it be the sound I'll make when I become your bride?
And does brown make the sound that makes me want to run and hide?
I'm asking

Do colors make sounds?

Baby is green the color of a new beginning?
And is that the color I'll see in the sky
As I ride on a plan back to your arms with your son in mine?
Or will I be the one lost in the rainbow as you walk away like Clark Gable?
To spread your seed and enpragnate another
Or are you the man who's gonna really love me?
Then all our colors run together again and another be born as I surrender?
Tell me now

Do colors make sounds?

Well, I've got to go, your boy wants to eat
Just remember I told you I'll be back in a week
If you don't have an aswer yet, then I think I do
By the sound of your son I think it's true
Yes

Colors make sounds, colors make sounds, colors make sounds
